The Benefits of A Package Policy

Haughn & Associates (H&A) provides small and mid-sized businesses throughout Central Ohio and beyond with affordable package policies from the top-tier insurers with which we partner. Our Business Owner’s Policies (BOP) are tailored to our clients’ individual industries and specific operations, while our Commercial Package Policies (CPP) are designed to provide businesses and commercial property owners additional flexibility and customization that might not be offered in a standard BOP. A CPP is great for commercial clients that have a business with a higher-than-average risk, or for those whose business is too unique for a standard policy.

Inside a Business Owner’s Policy

A BOP combines essential coverages, giving you convenient and customizable coverage options for your small business at a premium significantly lower than the cost of purchasing each type of insurance separately. With a BOP, you can get Property coverage on the building itself and the contents of the building, along with General Liability protection, in one insurance package. We can also add endorsements to your policy to include certain types of additional coverage. Our staff will review and recommend which additional coverages you should be carrying.

In addition to the BOP, you will need separate insurance policies to cover professional services, vehicles, and your employees.

Inside a Commercial Package Policy

A CPP begins with Property and General Liability insurance and a broad spectrum of individual policies available to add to your program. This includes Business Interruption, Commercial Auto, Crime, Commercial Umbrella, Equipment Breakdown, Employment Practices Liability, Inland Marine, and Pollution Liability insurance. Workers’ Compensation and Directors & Officers Liability insurance fall outside a Commercial Package Policy and thus are covered separately.
